Do Two Twins Make A King?
It used to be that when you thought of two Twin mattresses, you thought of the spare bedroom at the cottage or something your grandparents slept on. That is no longer the case. In fact, many now much prefer the combination of two single mattresses to make a King.
Firstly, while two Twin mattresses may equal the width of a King, they come up short, quite literally – 5 inches too short. However, two Twin XL mattresses (extra-long), when placed together have the same width and length of a King mattress – 76w x 80l”.
Many are now choosing a combination of two Twin XLs for a few reasons, the main reason being comfort. You’d be hard pressed to find a couple with identical sleeping habits. Someone is always the fidgety one, the “hot” one, the sleep-talker/mover and the list goes on. What better than to have your very own individual beds, for optimal comfort.
You can dress the bed as a King, or you can customize according to your individual comfort and taste. While dressing the top of the bed to look like a King, you can use separate sheet sets underneath. No one will be the wiser as you both enjoy your personal level of comfort.
The bottom line is this, only two Twin XL mattresses make a proper King and there isn’t a single thing wrong with that! Set yourselves apart, without sacrificing traditional sleeping arrangements, and get a better night’s sleep.
Sleep on it,
IB
